Growing up in Sonoma, California, Sean has had a lifelong passion for architecture, engineering, and photography.
Sean completed a four-year Engineering program, Project Lead the Way, in high school. Through this course, he acquired hands-on experience in the fundamentals of engineering and design, computer science, civil engineering, and architecture.
Sean is currently in his 4th year at the University of California, Berkeley, pursuing a degree in Architecture in the College of Environmental Design. Over the years, he has interacted with and been taught by a variety of professors and graduate students. Applications like Photoshop, Rhino, InDesign, and V-Ray are used synchronously in the studio for projects, diagrams, and throughout the brainstorming process. Sketching is practiced weekly to convey quick diagrams and ideas for critique that ultimately accelerate a project.
During his summer internships, Sean was involved with numerous projects ranging from major multi-story roof/wall renovations, elementary school redesign, concept renders/photography for multi-million dollar residential and commercial renovations, and surveying multi-story/acre buildings/office parks. Sean is proficient in Revit, Procreate, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam. He met and corresponded with many contractors, DSA workers, neighboring firms, and school boards on projects during this time.
In addition, Sean’s photography has awarded him the Gold Key and Honorable Mention Awards by Scholastic, received national recognition for his presence on the National Art Honor Society Gallery, had his Blood Moon photograph featured in the Sonoma Index-Tribune and his Hot Air Balloon photograph grace the cover of the Bank of Marin calendar. He also attended workshops in Yosemite with renowned photographer William Neill, who taught for years under Ansel Adams. Sean has sold his work and his photography is on display on Sonoma’s Plaza.
